Working Out a New Normal

This week,we, the family have been working out a new normal. A new normal for our household.
It's been a major change and every moment of every day has been effected. You wouldn't think it was possible.
I'm still babystepping my way back into normality. I'm not even sure what that is yet after living so long with what we grew to know as normal but realise now it was far from it.

Anyway, I am trying real hard not to whinge and be in a constant downer because I know how depressing and draining it can be, even to those who just read the blog.

So positive thoughts and I will try and post positive things to brighten "The Hideaway" up a bit.

Thanks for hanging in there with me.

Meg, my DD left our family when she was 9 1/2 in a quite traumatic never to return fashion. It took us probably close to 12 months to figure out our "new normal"The first month was the worst. It just takes time. Be kind to yourself and to eachother while you work through this.

I'm sorry to hear of your DD Bettina...boy it's hard.
Thank you for the advice and the insight while we work through this.

Thanks. Its been a few years now since it all happened. It's not easy to find your feet after an upheaval like that, but you do get there. Feel free to contact me by email through the FIA group if you want to discuss anything or have a vent.
